Mischa Anne Barton was born on January 24, 1986 in London, England.

At age nine, Mischa began her career in New York Theater with a lead role in Tony Kushner's "Slavs!"
Among her varied stage credits are "Where the Truth Lies" and "One Flea Spare", both of which took place at the New York Shakespeare Festival.

In 1996 Mischa had a short-term role playing the character of Lilly Benton Montgomery on "All My Children".
Mischa's feature film debut came with with the critically lauded "Lawn Dogs" (1997), followed by "Pups" (1999). Mischa has since wracked up key roles in "The Sixth Sense" (1999) with Bruce Willis, and "Notting Hill" (1999), with Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant.
Mischa can also be seen in "Paranoid" (2000), "Skipped Parts" (2000), "Lost and Delirious" (2001), "Julie Johnson" (2001), "Octane" (2003) and "The OH in Ohio" (2006), but is best known for her role on television's "The O.C.".

Mischa Barton enjoys family-life with her parents and two sisters in Manhattan, New York.
