Dominique Ariane Swain was born on August 12, 1980 in Malibu, California.

Dominique was a 15 year old Malibu High School sophomore when she made her film debut in "Lollita" (1997). She was selected after a six month search from more than 2500 girls considered for the role. Soon after, Dominique nabbed her second high profile role, in the big budget action/drama "Face/Off"(1997). Her role as the daughter of Sean Archer called for her to look rebellious, and did she ever. She nailed the role as well as multiple new fans for her sexy but superb performance.

Dominique contitoplesss to star in a number of great Hollywood films, but also seems to still be coming in the back door. Aside from "Face/Off", none of her films have been huge commercial successes, but each and every one has been a critical success. Most notably might be "Girl" (1998), which saw Dominique head a talented cast and a great script. The story is beautifully written and perfectly executed. It established Dominique as an independent films stand-out, much like Christina Ricci.
